The Fixer

Review

The Fixer

Things got bad for Tess when her sister, Ivy, forced her to move to DC and put her grandfather in a nursing home. Things got confusing when her new peers at the elite Hardwicke School talk about Ivy like she’s the most powerful person they can think of. Things got complicated when the Chief Justice suddenly dies and rumors of conspiracy start flying around… and that’s just the beginning.  Suddenly Tess finds herself questioning her sister, her peers and even her own identity.

THE FIXER has everything a good mystery/thriller needs --- a sassy protagonist, unlikely enemies and the setup of what seems like the perfect crime.

THE FIXER has everything a good mystery/thriller needs --- a sassy protagonist, unlikely enemies and the setup of what seems like the perfect crime. Another perk? THE FIXER is low on romantic relationship drama. Yeah, they can be fun, but boys aren’t exactly top priority when a possible killer is on the loose around the most powerful people in America.

Tess is set and ready to be a part of the next generation of YA heroines. She knows what her morals are and sticks to them. One of the first things she does after starting her new school is protect a freshman from letting a mistake ruin their life. She’s not just tough; she follows her heart to figure out what to do, no matter what the cost might be to her.

Fans of Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ The Naturals series as well as any other criminal mystery-thrillers won’t be able to get this one out of their heads. Being the first in the series, readers will be counting down the days to figure out what trouble Tess finds herself in the middle of, next.
