A Murder of Magpies

Review

A Murder of Magpies

Vayda and Jonah are twins. In addition to sharing DNA, they also share the power to get inside people's minds and control them, creating energy from emotions --- a trait that have been passed down in their family for generations. But these powers become more of a curse when they cause their mother to be murdered, and the twins have to run away and assume a new identity.

A MURDER OF MAGPIES was an intense novel with romance, mystery, action, danger and enough plot twists to keep me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.

They try to fit in at their new school, but that's hard to do when they're shattering light bulbs and getting into fights as their abilities become too powerful. They both succeed in finding love interests at their new school, but when Jonah uses his Mind Games to meddle with his relationship, things get complicated and dangerous. Ward, a boy with a shady past, has fallen in love with Vayda and is doing all he can to help her family's desperate situation. While the twins navigate the sometimes rocky terrain of new romance, they also have to deal with Marty --- a kid at school whose main goal in life seems to be to make them miserable. As the tension begins to rise, the twins can't help but wonder, will they be able to keep their Mind Games a secret or will they have to run away again?

A MURDER OF MAGPIES was an intense novel with romance, mystery, action, danger and enough plot twists to keep me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
