24 Girls in 7 Days

When Jack finally musters up the courage to ask his crush Pamela to the prom, he blows it big time --- from his introductory salutation, "Hee," to his comment about "the fantastic transgenic forces of springtime." Pamela is totally out of there. Jack's friends, Percy and Natalie, then rib him unmercifully about his "romantic incompetence."

Jack, however, is not without his admirers. One such fan shows him an ad in the school newspaper --- supposedly placed by Jack himself! The ad features Jack's picture and asks girls who want to go to the prom with him to email him. It also lists his finer personality traits: "Jack Grammar would never try to fondle your butt during a slow dance."

Jack discovers that Percy and Natalie posted the ad --- and they report that they instantly had 45 responses! Jack is furious. But, although he would never admit it to anyone, he does believe that the prom is a night of true romantic possibilities and miracles. Therefore, he can hardly resist the potential of the responses to the ad. ANYTHING could happen.

The responses continue to pour in, and suddenly Jack is a wanted man --- sought after by hundreds of eager girls. How to narrow this embarrassment of riches? Percy and Natalie suggest making a contest of it. Jack will date twenty-four girls in seven days, and choose his prom date from the twenty-four.

Jack is intrigued by emails he gets from "Miss FancyPants," but the mystery emailer eludes him. Meanwhile, he's fantastically busy with the plethora of amazing girls he meets in the next week. But will one of them actually be THE ONE for romantic Jack?

24 GIRLS IN 7 DAYS has everything: a great plot with a few unpredictable twists, plus an adorable self-deprecating main character. It's also loaded with tons of humor, romance, and mystery. Despite the light tone, Jack reveals an appealing deep side. It all adds up to a fabulous, highly recommended read!
