Nominate Your Favorite Books of 2016 for the Teen Choice Book Award
Hi Teenreaders,

The year is rapidly coming to a close, and we know you have a lot on your mind between Christmas shopping (for yourself and others), coming up with the perfect New Year's plans, finals, college applications (for some of you) and, of course, deciding what you'll binge-read over the break!

With that in mind, we’re going to keep this newsletter short and sweet, highlighting just the coolest opportunity on our site right now: Nominate Your Favorite Books for the Teen Choice Book Award! You'll find more info in the section below, but the gist is that we're letting you vote for your top 15 favorite YA books published in 2016. Once you've all chimed in, we'll tally up your votes and the top five books will continue on as finalists for the Teen Choice Book Award.

Remember, this is the only national award where teens like you decide everything from the finalists to who eventually wins, so every vote counts!

Happy voting,

--- Rebecca Munro (

Teen Choice Book Awards: The Details
In association with the Children’s Book Council (CBC) and Every Child a Reader, is giving you a very special opportunity to let your voices be heard by telling us up to 15 of your favorite books of 2016. The five titles that receive the most votes will serve as the finalists for the CBC’s 2017 Teen Choice Book of the Year. Once the five finalists have been determined, we will tell you where you can go vote for them. The winner will be announced in May 2017.

All you have to do is fill out this form between now and Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:59PM.

We have listed 485 books and split them into three sections. You can select up to five (5) titles in each section. If you are not selecting titles from one of the sections, please click on "None of the Above" at the bottom of that section.

If you want to vote for a title that is not listed in the three sections, you can write it in at the end of the survey.

Important Note: If you choose to add a title for nomination that is not on our list, please be sure that the book(s) released for the first time in 2016; this means that paperbacks originally published as hardcovers prior to 2016 will not be accepted. If you’re uncertain about a book’s release date, we suggest you search for that title on, or
