Rita Williams-Garcia was was born to write stories. When she is not working, she is daydreaming or plotting out her next story. Her middle-grade novel ONE CRAZY SUMMER was a New York Times bestseller, Newbery Honor Book and winner of the Coretta Scott King Award. The recently published sequel, P.S. BE ELEVEN, won the 2014 ALA Coretta Scott King Author Book Award.
